Introduction
This article has been written in the hope that it will help get you into the habit of practicing some of the ideas in the previous articles, those of Meditation, Yoga, Self Help and Self Discipline come to mind for example.
To lead a structured and orderly life it is very important that you have a daily routine, I have one, which is practiced daily, granted some days the planner might say go shopping first, but that is still part of a daily plan. Anyone who has read any of my articles on planning will know that Family has to come first each day. It could be shopping, running the kids to school and other such family activities. If your family is happy, it means you will have a happier life as well. It could even be do an hours gardening to keep you happy and content as well. Another thought is spend time on your hobby, or go to watch the local team, (assuming that they are not as bad as some I watch, in which case your stress levels will increase!)
It also means that your family are aware that whilst you put them first, you also have a job to do, this should lead to them understanding to let you do whatever it is to be successful in your business life, this hopefully will lead to them being able to ask for a treat or money, knowing that you do work from home to help them enjoy such treats.
Start With A Plan
This does sound rather obvious, but an old maxim of mine with my students was “He did not plan to fail, he just failed to plan”. This is a very old saying, but, if you look at the logic of it, it makes commonsense. Only a total idiot would plan to fail, or a con man.
Having a daily routine can be a great way to get and stay organised. It can help you plan your day and make sure that you get everything done that needs to be done. It can also help you to stay focused on what is important and to keep track of all the tasks you need to accomplish.
One of the best ways to start a daily routine is to make notes of what needs to be done. This can be done on paper or on the computer, depending on your preference. Making notes of your tasks can help you to stay on top of what needs to be done and can help you to plan your day.
Another great way to stay organised is to keep a diary. Writing down what you need to do and when it needs to be done can help you to keep track of your tasks. It can also help you to stay on top of any deadlines that you may have.
Using the computer to plan your life can also be a great way to stay organised. Using a calendar or to-do list can help you to keep track of your tasks and deadlines. You can also use a reminder app to remind you of any tasks or deadlines that you may have.
Finally, it is important to get organised. This can be done by setting aside some time each day to organise your tasks and to make sure that you are on track with everything that needs to be done. This can help you to stay focused and to make sure that you are getting everything done that needs to be done.
Conclusion
Having a daily routine can be a great way to get and stay organised. It can help you too plan your day and too keep track of all the tasks you need to accomplish. By making notes, keeping a diary, and using the computer to plan your life, you can get organised and stay on top of everything that needs to be done.

Hi Israel, many thanks for your sensible comments, which are much appreciated.
Stuart
Having a daily routine is an excellent way to bring structure and organization to our lives. It’s refreshing to see the author emphasizing the importance of prioritizing family and personal well-being within that routine. By allocating time for activities that bring joy and fulfillment, such as spending quality time with loved ones or pursuing hobbies, we can enhance our overall happiness and satisfaction.
The article’s suggestion to start with a plan is sound advice. Planning ahead and making notes can help us stay on top of our tasks and responsibilities.
However, it’s important to remember that while routines can be beneficial, they should also allow for flexibility. Life often presents unexpected situations, and being able to adapt our routines accordingly is key, don’t you agree?
Hi Lizzy,
Many thanks for your comments, which are much appreciated. Totally that any plan must be flexible, otherwise I can see a number of problems.
Thanks once again,
Stuart
I really appreciate your article Stuart discussing the importance of having a daily routine and I could not agree more with using a routine to sort of create your own schedule and be more healthy, happy and efficient in the tasks you are trying to accomplish from day to day. Meditation, yoga and self help are certainly worthy of inclusion in such a routine but I don’t think that one’s routine needs to be limited to such activity either.
Daily reading can be extremely beneficial and I start every day off with reading a selection from my Bible before transitioning into some lighter exercises that have been very beneficial.
I really like how you say start with a plan because we are all far more likely to follow through if we plan it from the start!
Hi Joseph,
Many thanks for your thoughtful comments, sorry being slow to reply, managed to miss them!
Take your point about reading daily as well, I tend to read books that help me develop my business, but we are all different.
