Anger – Abolish It

Introduction

We all get angry at sometime or other, usually with good reason, but sometimes, there is no reason. Having done some research into both anger and anger management, thought why not write this article on anger- abolish it. If nothing else it will certainly give you food for thought, when you have an angry moment.

Looking at the title again, made me smile, would not the world be a wonderful place to live in, if nobody got angry anymore? Just think no more wars, no more fights in the Pubs, or on the street, think that dream world might have been a better title!!

Dream world is, unfortunately right, can you imagine what it would be like, if people did not get angry anymore?

As much as it hurts me to say it, I think that world could become a very boring place to live in. So why do I want to write an article on abolishing anger?

The Emotions of Anger

Simply because, by trying to abolish anger we face the fact that anger can, and does cause problems. These are what we are trying to eradicate.

Like our image above, anger can consume you like a bolt of lightening when it hits a lightening conductor, I shudder to think what damage the anger can do to us, having seen what lightening can do when it hits a conductor, creating a hole in a four-inch thick concrete roof.

Anger is a natural emotion that all humans experience. It can range from mild irritation to intense rage, and it can lead to destructive behavior if not kept in check. The aim of this article is to explore the nature of anger, how to control it, and how to keep calm.

Just What Is Anger?

Anger is an emotion that is felt when a person feels wronged, frustrated, or threatened. It usually involves an increase in heart rate, an elevation of blood pressure, and a feeling of tension in the body. It can lead to physical and verbal aggression, as well as an inability to think clearly or make sensible decisions.

The first step to controlling anger is to recognize when it is happening. It is important to become aware of the physical and emotional sensations that accompany the feeling. Once this is accomplished, it is possible to take steps to manage the reaction. This can include learning to take deep breaths, counting to ten, or taking a break from the situation.

In addition to recognizing and controlling anger, it is also important to keep calm. This can be done by focusing on the present moment, engaging in activities such as meditation and yoga, and using positive self-talk. It is also helpful to remember that no situation is worth jeopardizing relationships or putting oneself in danger.

Overall, anger is a normal emotion. It can, however, be destructive if not managed properly. Recognizing, controlling, and keeping calm are important steps to managing anger and preventing it from leading to harmful behavior. With the right strategies, it is possible to abolish anger and replace it with feelings of peace and understanding.

Conclusion

Anger can be very dangerous to not only you and your health, but to others around you. Violent anger can see you cause or have caused to you serious damage, this can result in lasting injury, also a prison sentence.

So in a word, keep your anger under control.

  1. Thank you, Stuart, for sharing your thoughts on anger and the idea of abolishing it. I appreciate the perspective you bring to the discussion. While it’s true that a world without anger may seem like an idealistic dream, I believe there is still value in exploring anger management and finding ways to control it.

You rightly highlight the destructive potential of anger when it is not kept in check. It can lead to harmful behavior, damage relationships, and even jeopardize one’s own well-being. Recognizing the physical and emotional sensations that accompany anger is indeed an essential step towards managing it effectively.

  2. Anger is a very negative emotion, that can quickly become destructive, if not kept in check. So it is very important to notice the signs that might trigger anger in oneself, and try to avoid it.

Anger can also be a driving factor for good, but unfortunately often bad, things. Learning to manage your anger is therefore essential, so that it doesn’t turn into a destructive monster. One of the best ways for me to keep calm, is to take deep breaths, and count to ten before saying or doing anything.

Thank you for sharing a very thought provoking article.
